Our Story

Culture Drap was founded with a passion for India’s rich textile heritage, especially the delicate and graceful art of Lucknowi Chikankari embroidery. Each outfit in our collection pays tribute to the skilled artisans who keep this 500-year-old craft alive. By blending age-old hand embroidery techniques with modern designs, we create stylish, wearable pieces that reflect culture and sophistication.

Our Craftsmanship

Every garment at Culture Drap is made with love and care, featuring:

  • Authentic Lucknowi Chikankari – Known for its detailed handwork and elegant patterns.
  • Fine Hand Embroidery – Adds a luxurious, artistic touch to every design.
  • Premium Fabrics – We use soft, breathable fabrics like cotton, muslin, and linen for ultimate comfort and style.

Our Collection

Whether you're looking for a casual online Chikankari kurti for everyday wear or a statement kurta set for special occasions, we’ve got you covered. Our Chikankari collection suits every mood – festive, formal, or relaxed – all while staying true to traditional roots.

The Making Process

Creating each Chikankari outfit is a detailed journey involving four key steps:

  1. Design & Tracing (Chapai)
A unique design is hand-drawn, then traced using chalk or indigo to create intricate patterns on the fabric.
  2. Hand Embroidery (Kadai)
Skilled artisans use fine threads and traditional stitches like Bakhiya, Phanda, Murri, and Jaali. Each piece takes hours – sometimes days – to complete with precision.
  3. Washing & Finishing (Dhulai)
After embroidery, the fabric is gently washed, sun-dried, and finished to enhance its texture and detailing.
  4. Tailoring & Quality Check (Silai & Jaanch)
Finally, the fabric is tailored into beautiful kurtas, sets, or tops and carefully checked to ensure the best quality reaches you.
